In the 4th quarter of 2011 there were 22 638 counterfeit currency notes of the Bank of Russia discovered in the RF, in comparison to 25 005 in the 3rd quarter; 24 129 in the 2nd quarter and 22 795 in the 1st quarter. The total number of counterfeit currency units discovered in the country in 2011 was 94 567. This information was published today by the Central Bank of the RF.
The TOP 3 regions in terms of the number of discovered counterfeit bills are: the Central Federal District, the Northwestern Federal District and the Volga Federal District.
