Over the last few years Swedbank (Estonia) reduced the number of ATMs. The Department of protection of consumer’s rights of Estonia believes that it’s being done to make people to pay with cards more often.
Swedbank has removed all its ATMs in Virtsu, now there are no ATMs or the bank’s office there.
The Director of retail banking of Swedbank Ulla Illison has noted that in Virtsu people used ATM to withdraw cash on the average twice a month. Now the bank’s bus will go to them twice a month.
