On January 6, 2010 the air company Belavia together with e-payments system Skarbnik and BPS Bank launched a new for the Belarus market service for purchasing tickets online with the payment cards on the site WWW.BELAVIA.BY.
In the first six months of this online service operation about 7 thousand tickets were sold. The geography of sales also expanded considerably, up to 70 countries-customers. European countries prevail in the top ten countries using this online service to purchase flight tickets. Russian citizens are on the first place (22%), Great Britain people are the second (13.5%). Citizens of Belarus are the third (9.8%). The number of Belarus users of this online service increased almost three times in the last three months.
